Naming the characters in a novel can be a lot of fun especially when you include your family and friends in the process. In "Texas: Cowboys and Campfires," I had the daughter of one of my friends name the rooster. She came up with three names for me to choose from, and I selected "Chester."
Chester is as ornery as most roosters, and he takes his job seriously. Just ask Justin, Dallas, and Hank! They had a run-in with Chester they will never forget!
Novels written for young adults need to have some humor in them to keep the reader engaged and wanting to read more. That is exactly what you'll find in "Texas: Cowboys and Campfires."
