I love to inspire children and young adults to read by introducing them to books that are entertaining and educational.  My books provide the reader with entertaining stories intertwined with history.  The characters model good manners, respect, and a love for learning.

I was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas, and currently reside in Hood County, Texas.  I am a retired teacher and elementary school principal. I received the Instructional Leadership Award in 2004 from Tarleton State University in  Stephenville, Texas.  I am currently serving on the local school board and am involved in community groups that focus on education and children's issues.

I enjoy speaking to students in schools about my books especially after the students have read the books.  I am available to speak to other groups who are interested in history and writing.
